Fun Saturday, part 1 of 2

Saturday was so pretty here that we decided to have a picnic in the park. We tossed the football, walked around a pond, fed some geese and ducks, and helped a stranger find his cell phone by calling it until he found it under leaves on the other side of the pond.
Later that night, Taylor went to see "Bridge to Tarabithia" (sp?) with Dottie while Mandy and I went to a birthday party for a friend, ironically held in a mall food court. No, he's not 12, they just decided not to wait 2 1/2 hrs for the Cheesecake Factory to seat us.

Wow, your Saturday looks like it was almost Springtime in Charlotte! My curiosity is peaked about what "part 2" will be about--hmmm...

The geese are returning to ponds and lakes around us here in Virginia, and robins are beginning to make an appearance, too. Can Spring be far behind?

We've had high winds and very dry conditions, and a fire in our town burned a family of seven without a house--homeless. Tom is cooking a meal for them tonight. They are staying with some relatives for now.

Looking forward to seeing you soon,
Love y'all,
Mom
