Today marks the 45th wedding anniversary for Mom & Dad! Congratulations and we love you!

Thanks, Son, for remembering. We celebrated the occasion this evening by having dinner at Texas Road House in Lynchburg, and it was SOOO good! We felt it was appropriate to dine on steak under the Texas flag on this particular Friday, since that is what we did that Friday night exactly 45 years ago. (After the wedding, we went to the Astor Steak House in C.C. and ordered filet mignons.)
Your romantic father sent me a beautiful bouquet of yellow roses at my office yesterday; and in an e-mail to me as he reminisced about our wedding, he said, "I couldn't see the children, then, nor their faces....would have thought that they might have been freckle-faced red-haired little mustangs, anyway. But you presented us with beautiful children...handsome children."
Yes, beautiful daughters, handsome son--precious souls loaned to us by our Heavenly Father! May the circle be unbroken, and may our mansions be near one another's up There!
God is Love, and life is good. We feel very, very blessed to have three wonderful "arrows in our quiver." (Psalms 127:3-5)
Thanks also for all the added joy that you have brought our family by your arrival! We have all enjoyed watching you grow from the adorable little tow-headed tyke with the skinned knees into a man of integrity and faith--a man who continues to make his parents very proud!
