Knicks vs. Bobcats
Last night Amanda-Faye and I were treated to unbelievable seats at the final Bobcats game of the season. My friend, Napoleon, called me Wednesday morning wondering if I wanted to buy the tickets from his sister for half of the $125/seat price. I declined, but he called me back at 3pm and said to meet him at the arena and take them for free.Neither the Bobcats nor the Knicks are headed to the playoffs, so the organization went all out with their promotions. Free t-shirts to everyone, $2 hotdogs, $3 beer, car give-away, players game shoes and jerseys given away, and fireworks. The seats we had were court level,
3rd row, center court! I shook hands with coach Bickerstaff, Gerald Wallace, Walter Herrmann, Raymond Felton, and Adam Morrison. We were having a drink pre-game in the private underground lounge when Mugsy Bogues walked in and waved to us. Our seats were so good thatwe had a waiter, during halftime were allowed into the "backcourt lounge" for free beer, and when leaving were given fresh cookies and milk/coffee!So Napleon, A-F, and my other friend Larry, and I, saw the game. Larry hadn't been in the arena before and these seats blew him away. At theend, the guys left, but I'd brought my camera and wanted to see if Michael Jordan, now involved in Bobcats Operations, was going to appear for the coach's retirement. He didn't, but I got up close and per
sonal with everyone else.Lady Cats

Hey, Napoleon! Need another friend? Because you are *just* the kind of guy I'd love to meet...one that can hook me up with $2 hot dogs and courtside seats and FREE milk and cookies!
(I should warn you that I'm not much of a sports fan. I've never even heard of Mugsy Jordan or Isiah Bickerstaff...)
;-)
WOW! What a fun night! Wish I could've been there!
