Lingerie shower Saturday
AF threw a lingerie shower Saturday for one of our Life Group friends who is getting married to another friend in a couple weeks. I quickly learned that hosting parties is Mandy's passion. I also learned that estrogen levels quadruple when involving seven women, veils, lingerie, wrapping paper, games, and balloons. I couldn't leave fast enough.

Love it! Hope she received something pretty!
Recently, I was invited to a lingerie shower for a "mature" woman who was marrying an old friend after they'd both lost their spouses of many years. (We're all THRILLED at her new-found happiness! She's a lovely librarian, a faithful Christian, and a dog person.)
Other women at the party were able to buy her delicate underthings, but my mind refused to go there so I got her an expensive candle (People need candles! Sometimes the power goes out or you want to dine by candlelight...) and some margarita body lotion (People need lotion! It's usually dry in West Texas...).
