Here are a few pics from our afternoon of ice skating last month. Now there's a sport that works muscles you didn't know existed!

Fun Saturday, part 2 of 2

After the picnic, we went to the costume store where we'd rented Mandy's Halloween Southern-Belle dress to scout out next Halloween's costumes. When walking in the store, I told Taylor, "You can be anything you want! You want a banana costume, they've got it. You want to be Elvis, they've got it." She replied, "Ok, do they have a Cat in the Hat/Dr. Seuss costume?" I took two steps and found it!

When we started trying on things I realized these would make great blog pics. So here are some of the ones we tried on.

We must've spent an hour and a half in there and didn't spend a dime. Taylor had so much fun she didn't want to leave.

Fun Saturday, part 1 of 2

Saturday was so pretty here that we decided to have a picnic in the park. We tossed the football, walked around a pond, fed some geese and ducks, and helped a stranger find his cell phone by calling it until he found it under leaves on the other side of the pond.
Later that night, Taylor went to see "Bridge to Tarabithia" (sp?) with Dottie while Mandy and I went to a birthday party for a friend, ironically held in a mall food court. No, he's not 12, they just decided not to wait 2 1/2 hrs for the Cheesecake Factory to seat us.

Karen works for Bell South?

I got a brochure last week from Bell South that I had to take a second look at to make sure my sister wasn't on it. I photographed it and pasted below so you can see for yourself. Doesn't that look like CEO Karen Perrin? Maybe it's because she's daydreaming out the window while multi-tasking. Looks like her twin to me!
