Poconos October 2008

Here are a few of the pics from our trip to the Poconos this year with Mom & Dad. Somehow, M&D avoided being in the majority of our pics, other than on our shooting expedition (which was
much like the S.S. Minnow's 3-hour tour). All those mid-PA back roads looked alike!
We stopped for pictures by Buttermilk Falls and found a great Steeler background inside Paolo's. Thanks, Mom & Dad, for sharing the villa with us again this year. We had a great time! By the way, I heard this morning's temp for Scranton was 28 deg. Sounds like we left just in time!

Great pics, Russ! We enjoyed being with your dear family, and we hope you all made some good memories. The enchilada dinner was delicious. Thanks for gathering the firewood and building the fire for us Monday night. Now, we are looking forward to Thanksgiving.
Love,
Mom

Those are some beautiful ladies on your arm. It looks like your trip was beautiful and fun. I wish I could have been there. Love you!

Wow. Bessie Lou is right...the ladies in your life--mom, wife, and daughter--are all lovely. I had to do a DOUBLE-TAKE at how grown-up Taylor looked, and it made me a little sentimental! (Or as Bethany would assure you, just "mental.")

The Poconos AND shooting AND Paolo's? Seriously? Did you get to worship in Shillington, too? I'm so jealous.

And as for the cold weather, Abilene tied the 1917 record low of 33 degrees yesterday. Karen had to scrape her windows! (It's predicted to be EIGHTY degrees on Sunday.) Life is never boring here in A-town...
