Six-burgh Steelers!
The City Counsel of Pittsburgh officially changed the city's name to Six-burgh yesterday for the parade. I've heard radio discussions that Big Ben is over-rated or that the refs should've reviewed Kurt Warner's fumble at the end of the game, but I've not heard anybody mention what the Steelers have done all year, which is just a little bit more than the other guy...enough to win the game. They're not the kind of team to "run up" the score on the other team, but consistently played to the level of the other team...plus one more score.
Unfortunately, the MVP, Santonio Holmes, doesn't have a clue what humility is. I actually heard him say, "I'm just thankful to have such great players around me that made me great." Maybe somebody will tell him when he gets back home to listen to those interviews again. Surely he'll get sick of hearing himself compliment himself.
Here are the sights and sounds of the restaurant where we watched the game. Thanks to Taylor, Mom, Bethany, Houston, and Kristy for the congratulatory text messages! You guys were funny and awesome!
