Andrews, TX, 1948
Friday is a very important day for someone in our family, and it just so happens that I have come into possession of some priceless photos. Here are a few to clue you in on who's 68th birthday is approaching.

On the back of the above picture (Dad w/ Easter basket), it says: Andrews, TX, 1948, Easter, when Becky was born.
Notice that there's not a blade of grass in sight!

WOW!! WOW!! Where did you get these? HOW did you get these? Russell, thank you so much for scanning these!! Wasn't Dad ADORABLE?!?! (You have completely blown me away, Bro...and to think, I once considered myself the Family Historian and Keeper of All Things Photographic!)
Oh, and that little boy...I love him so much!! Wouldn't it be great if Mrs. Craft could hear him preach? (If she could hear the wordsmith Dad turned out to be, she'd most certainly revise those two Recitation comments she made about his 4th six weeks!)
Fingers crossed that a certain young man born this summer inherits a family resemblance...
Incredible, that you got your hands on these old photographs...although, I have to think for a moment about having my report cards published for all the world to see...
The picture of me with the Easter basket was taken at our Trailer Park, in Andrews. It was post WWII, and if you want to see a pic of the kind of trailer we lived in, go up to the above blog, and lighten the shadows of Tom welding...those little canvas/tarred hovels were our sweet home. Notice...that I am sitting in sand. Lots of sand.
And folks wonder what I am doing in Virginia.....smiling, here.
Great blog...embarrassing but fascinating pictures. Way to go!

I knew you'd love these, Kris. I've got so many more to scan, it's incredible. It took AF and I about an hour just to give each picture a glance!
And Dad, I'm pretty sure the Freedom of Information Act encompasses report cards too.
